Small river in south Lappland. Originates from the mountain region west of mountain Kittelfjäll towards the Norwegian border. Flows Southwest through the lake Vojmsjön and finally flows out into the lake Volgsjön near Vilhelmina village. A 200 km long tributary to river Ångermanälven. Fishing stretches: Vojmåns FVO, stretch downstream lake Vojmsjön all the way to lake Volgsjön. Bergsjöns FVO, nice stream stetches in upper river Vojmån. State water, upper Vojmådalen (Vojmå valley)

to Volgsjöns FVO (near road 45). 10 major rapids. Some areas of the stretch
are easily accessible by car. The entire stretch is about 65 km and drops

Nedre Vojmsjöns FVO (Lower river Vojmån FVO) This fishing area fishery area consists of the lower part of river Vojmsjön. The area offers mainly fishing for large trout in lake Vojmsjön and river Vojmån. Fishing for grayling, char, whitefish, perch and pike is also offered. The area is available throughout the year. The area is scenic around Kittelfjäll in western Vilhelmina. It consists of Lake Saksensjön, Bergsjön and Lake Vattjomsjön, the Saksenbäcken brook between lake Bergsjön and lake Saksensjön, as well as parts of river Vojmån and river Krutån. River Vojmån is also called Bergsjöån here. Here you are invited to a very varied fishing that satisfies most tastes. Nice trails lead to the different fishing waters. The fish in the rivers and streams are mainly grayling and trout in the streaming parts or in calmer stretches with deep pockets. Grayling and trout fishing in river Vojmån is alternating streaming and calm water. It is not allowed to fish at all in the river Vojmån stretch from lake Bergsjön upstream to the boat house in Henriksfjäll (data from 2015). Fishing permits are sold by:
State Water in Övre Vojmådalen (Upper Vojmå Valley) Upper Vojmådalen in the western part of Vilhelmina municipality is above the cultivation limit. There is a varied fishing range, ranging from large lakes to streaming rapids. Most water is open for fishing all year round, and here you fish in true mountain wilderness area. In these parts of the upper river Vojmån there are trout and grayling. The fishing grayling in the area is widely known. Spin fishing or fly fishing are the best ways to catch fish.
